Home-Start Slough has been supporting local families going through a difficult time for the past 21 years.
In 2016, our 60-strong team of specially trained home-visiting volunteers provided non-judgemental, life-changing support to nearly 100 vulnerable families in the local area.
In times of great difficulty and stress, our volunteers have been a vital lifeline for parents, giving them the confidence and skills they need to cope with their daily lives and enabling children to grow up in a happy and stable environment.
We are the biggest local voluntary organisation to recruit and train volunteers to provide support and a listening ear to struggling families with children under five.
It costs in the region of £120,000 a year to keep our scheme going and we receive no government funding.
