Home-Start Slough raised funds as Unique Boutique’s charity of the night at a fashion show at the Grovefield Hotel on May 22.
The charity raised £580 through a raffle, with prizes generously donated by local companies in Slough and Burnham, including dinner for two at the Grovefield Hotel and dinner for four at The Copthorne Hotel.
The evening was a great success, with Unique Boutique owner, Jo Williams, from Stoke Poges, showing off her latest fashions with three catwalk shows.
Samantha Daynes, fundraiser for Home-Start Slough said: “We really want to thank Jo and all the local companies and hotels who donated for our raffle.
“The evening was a great success for us in terms of raising, not only money, but our profile to more people. Everyone enjoyed themselves and the money raised will go towards us continuing our work to help parents going through a crisis.”
Jo Williams, owner of Unique Boutique, added: “It certainly was a fantastic evening and a lot of fun was had by all. It was an honour to support such a well deserved local charity and I will continue to raise awareness for Home-Start through my Boutique.”

Home-Start Slough helps parents, with at least one child under five, who are suffering from stress and difficulties ranging from mental health issues, physical or mental disability, financial deprivation, family breakdown, single parenting, multiple births, abuse, neglect or isolation.
Our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do, providing practical help, emotional support, friendship and fun to parents who are struggling to cope and who, for whatever reason, aren’t getting the help they need.
If families crumble, communities disintegrate and children suffer. That’s why our volunteers work with parents at home to help them cope with the stresses and strains of parenthood so they can be stronger and their children can be happier.
