Parents and their children enjoyed a fantastic day out courtesy of Home-Start Slough last Thursday, August 14, at Odds Farm.
The charity organises the trip every year for the families it helps as a treat and a way of making sure they can spend some valuable time together away from the house.
More than 127 people who attended the outing arrived at the farm by coach and everyone was given a tasty packed lunch for the day before enjoying the on-site circus.
The animals were very happy to be fed by the children, whilst a tractor ride enabled the families to see the whole park. They got to experience petting and feeding animals and had fun in the indoor and outdoor adventure play grounds.
Abigail Langley, family co-ordinator for Home-Start Slough, said: “Once again we all had a great summer outing, enabling our families to experience a wonderful day out in the countryside.
“Many of our families can’t afford to go abroad for holidays or even take their children on days out like these, which makes it even more important that we do this every year.”
One mother was so happy with the day, that she texted Abigail to say thank you and that it was the best fun ever in her life.
