Home-Start Slough (HSS) are celebrating after being given 100% in its Quality Assurance report.
Every four years, HSS is assessed on its quality of its scheme’s practice via a robust system based on a programme of self-assessment against Home-Start UKs Quality Standards.
The process focuses on the on-going development and continuous improvement of all practice areas relating to the governance, management and service delivery of local Home-Start Schemes.
The standards that HSS had to pass, fall into the following eight Quality Areas:
1. Governance and Strategic Planning
2. Learning and Improving
3. Managing Resources & Finance
4. Managing Staff
5. Managing Volunteers
6. Managing Information
7. Welfare of Children and Supporting families
8. Working in Partnership
Home-Start Slough was able to evidence 100% of the Performance Indicators of Home-Start’s Quality Standards, meeting the criteria of 8 of the 8 Standards.
Janine Edwards, HSS Scheme Manager, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have been given 100 percent for our Quality Assurance.
“Everyone involved in the charity, from volunteers and trustees to the small team of part-time staff, have worked so hard for this.
“Getting a 100% result just proves how everyone is so dedicated to Home-Start Slough and how we make sure we continue to help change the lives of the children and their families in the borough.”
