Home-Start Slough (HSS) is asking residents to don their walking boots and help raise money for the family charity on Saturday, April 30 at Upton Court Park.
The Rotary Club Slough’s Walk Together event will help raise much needed funds and those joining in can enjoy the sites of the Thames, the Jubilee River and Eton College on a five mile walk.
Anyone can take part and the footpaths are well marked and signposted. All funds raised by people walking for HSS will be given to the charity and this year, Slough Rotary is offering four extra ways to increase your fundraising:
Last year, more than £25,000 was raised for over 35 different charities – so help Home-Start Slough be part of this and sign-up to walk.
It’s easy to register, just click here for the Slough Rotary website and choose Home-Start Slough as your charity.
The walk will start at the car park to Upton Court Park, Upton Court Road, Slough from the 3rd Upton Scout Hut any time between 9am and 1pm. Finish any time up to 4pm.
Entry is £5 per adult in advance, or £10 on the day. Accompanied children under 14 go free.
Home-Start Slough helps up to 100 families a year get their lives back on track due to post-natal depression, child disabilities, substance misuse, domestic violence and family bereavement.
However, there are more than 350 families at any one time who need the support of HSS, so if you would like to become a volunteer, please contact the HSS team on 01628 661029 for more information or to make a donation.
