Charity golf day raises funds

Home-Start Slough’s well received annual golf day, held on Thursday, July 7, was another success, raising more than £1,800 for the charity.

There were 42 golfers who tee’d off the day with 18 holes of golf, a three course lunch, prize presentations and a raffle draw at the Lambourne Golf Club.

Lesley Michaelis, Chair for Home-Start Slough, said: “Our annual golf day is always a great success and this year was no different.

“Everyone who attended was generous as always and helped to raise much needed funds for the charity.

“We would like to thank everyone who came along and enjoyed the day.”

Home-Start Slough helps up to 100 families a year get their lives back on track due to post-natal depression, child disabilities, substance misuse, domestic violence and family bereavement.
