We organise these free events as little treats for the families we support.
For some parents who are isolated in their community or suffering from mental illness, just getting out of the house can be a challenge. So days out like these, where they can enjoy being together as a family, are a very welcome break.
Our family fun day this year was held at the Slough Centre Nursery School in May.
Our thanks goes to everyone involved in assisting on the days.
These events provides an opportunity for the parents and children we are supporting to get out and make friends and enjoy a range of activities provided free of charge by Home-Start Slough.
For many of our parents, Christmas can be a particularly difficult and stressful time of the year.
Our annual Christmas party at St Andrew’s Methodist Church in Slough gives families the opportunity to enjoy festive food and fun and a visit from Father Christmas who hands out presents to all the children.
Every year the children’s presents are generously donated by local companies and organisations and last year, Caldicott School gave us a huge amount of presents for the children. Our thanks goes to them for their invaluable support.
